Handbook of Positive Psychology in Schools

Handbook of Positive Psychology in Schools

National surveys consistently reveal that an inordinate number of students report high levels of boredom, anger, and stress in school, which often leads to their disengagement from critical learning and social development. If the ultimate goal of schools is to educate young people to become responsible and critically thinking citizens who can succeed in life, understanding factors that stimulate them to become active agents in their own leaning is critical. A new field labeled "positive psychology" is one lens that can be used to investigate factors that facilitate a student’s sense of agency and active school engagement.

Creative Uses For Profitable Backend Selling

All the IM professionals know regarding selling merchandise on the backend to actually boost the profits. What you do is supply a solid product that is low priced, and when you do that you may be in a position to draw people into your sales funnel. You need to actively work to retain customers so long as you can so they will keep shopping for your products.

You have to understand that the only way this will work is if your products are as good as possible in terms of quality. Poor quality products never work well in terms of building a loyal customer base. When you market something, you are making a promise to someone that cannot be broken. No matter what you sell, you cannot ever allow yourself to market low quality products because the damage you will cause will not be worth it. Try to over-deliver if you can because that will raise the bar higher, and help your customers get the most out of their investment.

It is not the best thing to look at people as if they are a number, but still - they do represent an asset with real value attached to it. The more you can make them feel positive about themselves and you, the more likely they will stay with you and do more business. It never hurts to communicate with them about things like feedback and asking if they are satisfied. You can really set yourself apart depending on what you do. We do not recommend waiting more than a week to make this communication. Depending on how you do it, you should do a tiny bit of preselling about other products you have. This approach has the effect of helping them to be more relaxed and therefore receptive to your backend.

Have the willingness to employ some creative thinking and approaches with your backend marketing. A good idea is to send your customers a greeting card on their birthday or on a holiday wishing them. Along with the card, you can insert a small, effective advertisement about your backend product. If you offer true value and a great deal, then it could work very well and people will respond in kind. Once you have made the decision to implement these measures for your backend marketing, then you will find the rest to go pretty smoothly. If you have never done this, then that is fine because it is not hard to do; you just need a little information to be on your way.
